Tom Betts, BS, LAc, Dipl.Ac, MS
Mr. Tom Betts joined our team in 2003. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology in 2001 from Illinois State University, and has been working with our patients on functional rehabilitation strategies since. As an exercise specialist at Russeau Team HealthCare, Ltd., he draws upon his extensive athletic background and diverse work history to provide valuable and beneficial information to patients.
While employed at Russeau Team HealthCare, Ltd., he continued his studies, graduating with honors from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in August of 2008, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine.
Tom’s interest in Chinese medicine began while seeking natural alternatives for stress relief. After encountering the powerful effects of acupuncture first hand, he wanted to help others experience the benefits of this incredible healing art. Tom is a licensed acupuncturist and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Beyond the actual treatment provided, Tom’s passion is to educate patients, providing them with the necessary tools and information to empower and encourage them to take an active role in their own health.
When comparing acupuncture treatment with other modalities used for pain, it can provide similar results without the adverse effects. It is certainly worth considering, due to the minimal side effects.
